Neuburger Ried REISENTHAL
Neuburger is the Moses of Austrian varieties. According to legend it was fished out of the Danube in the 1860s and planted in the Wachau.
Just recently it has been discovered that this variety is a cross between Roter Veltliner and Grüner Sylvaner.
The poor and dry loess soil in Reisenthal offers the best conditions for this frugal varietal which can flourish even when there is only very little supply of water.

Cultivated in our growing area since the 15th century, Muskateller (a gold-skinned varation of the French Muscat blanc) is still one of the most consistent grape varieties in Austria. Late-ripening, with a preference for sandy or gravely soils, Austrian Muskatellers are vinified as dry, light and aromatic wines.

"ALTE REBEN" - Kremstal DAC Reserve
Rohrendorfer Leithen is one of the very best vineyard sites in Rohrendorf, an early-ripening south facing terrace. A conglomerate bed rock with a 1meter top layer of loess.
On these 3 steep terraces are our oldest vines, about 60 years of age. Just a few loose clusters of grapes are nourished generously by a widely-spread and deep root system.

Grüner Veltliner Ried MOOSBURGERIN
Kremstal DAC
Gedersdorfer Moosburgerin
The soil here is conglomerate rock with a 2 meter layer of Loess on top. Moosburgerin is the oldest documented site in Gedersdorf (first time mentioned in 890 A.C.). Monks of a nearby cloister planted the first vines there. The combination of warm days and cool nights ripens the grapes here more slowly, which results in wines that are fruity and spicy, refined and elegant, although higher in Brix.
Tasting Notes:
A fresh zippy style of Grüner Veltliner, with an intense apple and white currant note on the nose and palate, topped with hints of lemon pepper. Fruity spice leads the palate, which is clean and zesty. Acidity is well-balanced. Overall the wine is very refreshing and juicy, with racy minerality and finesse. It has enough weight and individual character to pair beautifully with many fish and white meat dishes. Its liveliness also makes it a great Aperitif wine.
Suggested Food Pairings:
Appetizers, Finger-food, Ham, Prosciutto, Asparagus, Salads, Chicken, Fish, Veal, Vegetable dishes, Seafood, Shellfish, Cold Cuts, Asian Cuisine. Food wine par excellence.

Zweigelt Ried WEITGASSE
Gedersdorfer Weitgasse
We’ve chosen the site Weitgasse for our Zweigelt, because the soil contains lots of chalk and humus, which are ideal pre-conditions. The cooling, drying winds on top of this plateau site keep the grapes healthy far into fall. This allows us to get yields with exceptional flavor and dark color.
Tasting Notes:
Brilliant ruby-red hue. Ripe plums and blackberry fragrance with a hint of violets. A rich entry leads to a fruity full-bodied palate and a lengthy finish. A lovely expression of pure black fruit, balanced tannins and harmonious acidity. Velvety-smooth, creamy aftertaste.

Sankt Laurent Ried THALLAND
Rohrendorfer Thalland
Despite its reputation as a difficult grape, St. Laurent has recently enjoyed a significant renaissance in Austria. Our St. Laurent site consists of light and chalky soil which is ideal for this grape. Its very dense-berried clusters (similar to Pinot) would burst and rot in wet autumn weather. The sandy loess at this site allow the water to drain off quickly and the grapes remain healthy and have enough time to fully ripen. Since the vines are 49 years old, the yields are small, but of superior quality with old vine intensity.
Tasting Notes:
Brilliant ruby red-violet hue. Fruity nose (akin to floral Pinot Noir aromas). Appealing for its intense black cherry and boysenberry aromas. Lively, vibrant structure. Pleasantly tannic and lingering spicy on the finish. Approachable now, but built to age. Reaches its full maturity after 2-5 years from harvest. On the palate it seems a darker relative of Pinot Noir, to which it is closely related. It should drink beautifully over the next five years, during which the tannins will soften more and blend with the lush fruit to become even more intense.
Suggested Food Pairings:
Game, Goose, Duck, Lamb, Pasta, Roast Beef, Beef Steaks, Tuna Steaks, Wild Mushrooms, Ham, Sheep & Goat Cheese.
Serving temperature: 16° C
ROSÉ
Felsner Rosé is made from Zweigelt grapes. The vineyards on the top of the hill receive cool northern breezes. As a result, a slow grape maturation ensures the perfect balance of concentrated fruit and bright acidity. Grapes were hand-picked and selected. They were put in a pneumatic press where the juice was gently extracted from the grapes. The temperature controlled fermentation of the must after the addition of selected yeast and the elaboration of the young wine took place in a stainless steel tank.
Tasting Notes:
An elegant, dry Rosé wine. This seductive wine has bright notes of strawberry and red currants. It has a bright salmon-pink color. Slightly creamy in texture, backed by refreshing acidity. It’s delicious for its playful fruitiness and lively balance. Finishing dry, with fragrant length.

Tasting Notes:
Brilliant pink-orange hue. Intense ripe fruit flavours. Pungent plum, orange zest and lychee, shown in great purity. A sweet entry leads to a firm, full-bodied palate with balanced sweetness. Lengthy, ripe, flavorful finish. Not only the concentration of aromas, but also the amazing balance of sugar and racy acidity meshes in an ethereal package, making this wine elegant and seductive.
Harvested on 16.02.2022 when the temperature was -6° C and which was at the same time the night of a full moon. Exceptional, fully ripened and beautifully Botrytis dried grapes were hand picked. The pressing was done extremely slow and careful with a 300 years old wood press. With each bushel producing only one-tenth of the juice of autumn harvested grapes. It takes every single grape from an entire vine to yield just enough juice to make 1 bottle of TBA. In addition there is the risk of grapes being stolen by hungry birds, or damaged by hail or harsh winter storms, and you can understand why the harvest is so precious and valuable.
